History of Ajmer city

Ajmer is very famous city in Rajasthan its 5th biggest city in whole Rajasthan state.  Ajmer is most divine place in the whole Rajasthan. Rajasthan is well known tourist attraction in India. Ajmer city is surrounding place from Jaipur. Jaipur is 160 K.M away from Ajmer.
            The Ajmer city was establish by Maharaj Ajayraj Singh Chauhan in the late Seventh century A.D., and was scheme by the Chauhan Empire for more than a few decades, with Prithviraj Chauhan being one of the most popular rulers. Ajmer was under enemy control by Mohammad Ghori in 1193 A.D. However, the Chauhan leader was permitted independence over the condition winning payment of heavy tribute to the defeater Ajmer was later captured by the ruler of Mewar in 1365 followed by Marwar 1532. In 1553, the Hindu Emperor, Hem Chandra Vikramaditya, popularly known as Hemu occupied Ajmer; he was killed in the second battle of Panipat in 1556. Ajmer move just before under the control of Mughal royal leader Akbar in 1559 and later conceded onto the Marathas in the 18th century. In 1818, the British asked the Marathas to cede Ajmer for Rs. 50,000 and therefore it becomes a part of the territory of Ajmer-Merwar. In 1950, it became Ajmer State, which became part of the Rajasthan State on 1 November 1956.
Landmark of the Ajmer city is the hallowed Dargah Sharif, tomb of Saint Muinnudin Chisti. People of all kinds, from diverse parts of the world, come together at the Saint’s holy place to offer their greetings and ask for his good thing. The place of worship is above all crowded on Fridays and during the annual festival of Urs.
                                                                  
Ajmer as well as serve up as the entry to the holy city of Pushkar, which is situated presently at a distance of 11 km from Ajmer. Pushkar is famous for the Brahma Temple and the Pushkar Lake, and is multitude by a large number of tourists.
